Giverny

Nestled in the Normandy region of northwestern France, Giverny is where Claude Monet made his home and created the gardens that inspired some of the most celebrated paintings in art history. Set within an exquisite valley of the River Seine, the gardens and surroundings formed the subject matter for his paintings after he moved there in 1883, and Monet spent the last 40 years of his life here. The village sits just 80km northwest of Paris, making it ideal for a half-day private transfer. Note that Monet's House and Garden are open to the public from April to October only.
